Popeyes returning to north San Bernardino

-

A new Popeyes location is coming to north San Bernardino, directly next door to … a former Popeyes.

The new site is sandwiched between the former Popeyes — now an Albertaco’s Mexican Food — at 3245 W. Little League Drive and a newer Jack in the Box, 3265 W. Little League Drive, that opened in 2021.

Construction is nearly complete and signage is up nearby.

New in Riverside

River Ranch Grill & Bar — a barbecue restaurant with a Mexican flair, according to its Instagram bio — is open in downtown Riverside.

The restaurant opened earlier this month.

In addition to a selection of steaks, the menu features burgers and chicken sandwiches, tacos, soups, salads and chili, along with other entrées like salmon, tri-tip and shrimp.

River Ranch is inside Mission Square Plaza, 3750 University Ave., Suite 125.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The former Bleu Pitt Cafe is now a place to get a little reading material with your coffee or sandwich.

Birdcage Comics Cafe partners with Birdcage Bottom Books to offer a selection of small press comics for purchase.

There’s also a selection of comics and zines to peruse while dining in.

The menu offers coffee drinks and smoothies, plus breakfast croissants and bagels, salads and sandwiches.

Veterans and delivery company employees get a 15% discount.

The shop also hosts occasional game and open mic nights.

Birdcage Comics Cafe is at 165 W. Hospitality Lane, Suite 17, San Bernardino.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
