Trails Day event: The city of Highland and San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District offer a Trails Day event at Sunrise Ranch. Participan­ts meet near Newport Avenue and Fish Hatchery Road. Quilt auction: The Citrus Belt Quilters hold auction of quilts and quilt-related items in the social hall of the Redlands Church of the Nazarene, 1307 E. Citrus Ave. The hall opens at 8:30 a.m. for people to sign up for bidding paddles and view the baskets and quilts up for bids. Live bidding will start by 9:30a.m. Payment is by cash or check only. Redlands Republican Women’s Club: Heather Dyer, general manager and CEO of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, will speak when the Redlands Republican Women’s Club meets 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. at the Redlands Country Club, 1749Garden St. Lunch reservatio­ns were due by May 19, but those who attend only the program and do not have lunch do not need reservatio­ns.
