Trails Day event: The city of Highland and San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District offer a Trails Day event at Sunrise Ranch. Participants meet near Newport Avenue and Fish Hatchery Road. Registered participants will receive a finisher medal, while supplies last, and an on-site food truck voucher. Bicycles and horses are not allowed at the event. Community theater: Rialto Community Players present “A Comedy of Tenors” by Ken Ludwig 8 p.m. at the Sandra R. Courtney Community Playhouse, 150E. San Bernardino Ave., Rialto. Quilt auction: The Citrus Belt Quilters hold auction of quilts and quilt-related items in the social hall of the Redlands Church of the Nazarene, 1307 E. Citrus Ave. The hall opens at 8:30 a.m. for people to sign up for bidding paddles and view the baskets and quilts up for bids. Live bidding will start by 9:30a.m. Payment is by cash or check only. Redlands Republican Women’s Club: Heather Dyer, general manager and CEO of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, will speak when the Redlands Republican Women’s Club meets 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. at the Redlands Country Club, 1749Garden St. Lunch reservations were due by May 19, but those who attend only the program and do not have lunch do not need reservations.

Memorial Day program: Mark Radeleff will present “Four Sailors and the Battle of Makassar Strait, 1942” 7p.m. in the Assembly Room of the A.K. Smiley Public Library, 125W. Vine St., Redlands. The program focuses on four Redlanders who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, telling of their lives before, during and after the war. Free.

Lifestream blood drive: A blood drive is scheduled 11 a.m.-3p.m. at the San Bernardino City Unified School District office, 777N. F St., San Bernardino. Donors receive a free mini-physical, including readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol levels, iron level and temperature, with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal.
