Downtown’s Morning Market: Redlands’ outdoor market is 8 a.m.-noon every Saturday from March to December on East State Street between Orange and Seventh streets. The market features artisan vendors, vendors of prepackage­d food and hot food, a certified farmers’ market and live entertainm­ent.

Variety show: Phill Courtney hosts the fall edition of the Inland Empire Almanac, featuring comedy, social satire, music and more, 2 p.m. at the Redlands Center for Spiritual Living, 602 N. Church St., Redlands. Performers include Maritri Garrett, Brian Petrasek and the Odd Trio. Hot dogs from Dawgs 4 Dogs will be available during a social hour before the show, with part of the proceeds going to the Redlands Animal Shelter. Freewill donations will be accepted at the show to support the Center for Spiritual Living’s programs including meals for the homeless.

San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society: Jennifer Tilton will present “Mapping the Color Lines: Segregatio­n and its Consequenc­es in San Bernardino” at the monthly meeting of the San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society, 7 p.m. at the Christian R. Harris Memorial Hall, next to the Heritage House at the corner of Eighth and D streets in San Bernardino. Tilton, a professor at the University of Redlands who is working with her students on historical mapping of the cultures in the Inland Empire, will use maps and oral histories from the Bridges Project to show how housing segregatio­n was created in San Bernardino and will discuss how that history of housing segregatio­n shaped the city’s schools, economic developmen­t and some of today’s wealth inequaliti­es.
