Society of Military Widows: Riverside County Chapter 13of the Society of Military Widows meets 11a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month, except July and August, at VFW Post 8547, 22616Alessandro Blvd., Moreno Valley. Meeting includes lunch and cost is $10. The Riverside County chapter is part of a national organization whose mission is to educate and advocate for the protection and preservation of entitlements and benefits for military widows, veterans and active military. Rally: HOPE Collaborative and other organizations are partnering in a rally to raise awareness of child abuse, 1-4p.m. at the Temecula Duck Pond. Temecula Councilmember Jessica Alexander is one of the keynote speakers, and bags distributed at the event will include coloring books provided by Bikers Against Child Abuse.

Musical program: The Interfaith Council of Murrieta and Temecula presents its annual “Night of Music: Songs for Peace and Unity” 6-8 p.m. at Rancho Church, 31300 Rancho Community Way, Temecula. The event features jazz artist Sherry Williams, plus youth choirs, bell choirs and others representing genres including hip hop, soul, R&B and faith-based music. Admission is free.
