The maintenance department also has several trucks that have “outlived their time” according to the proposal. The maximum purchase amount allowed for the for used work trucks would be $100,000.
The board will also consider a landscaping proposal for the main campus. The bid being considered for the project is a $54,000 bid from Herman Reeves Dirt Works, Inc.. The project would include landscaping of the parking lot islands around the main campus.
“The district has identified 67 islands on the main campus that need attention for the purpose of reducing time spent maintaining them,” the district said. “The scope of work for this project will consist of the undercut and removal of all vegetation (except for trees and shrubs), placement of membranes for weed management and the addition of round river rock ranging from 3-6 inches in diameter, to be level with the existing curbs.”
Only one bid was received for the project.
