BAUXITE -- The Bauxite Miners quickly returned to their winning ways Thursday, taking down Baptist Prep 13-3 in nonconference action at home.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Bauxite would answer in a big way, posting four runs in the home half of the inning.

Charlie Rogers would score the Miners first run, crossing on a wild pitch before Avery Heidelberg singled home Austin Hastings during the same at-bat.

Landyn Marshall would make it 3-1 Bauxite with an Rbi-groundout before Ryan Hoskins delivered with another Rbi-groundout, making it 4-1 after 1.

Heidelberg would score on the play.

Trailing by a pair still, now in the fourth, Baptist continued to chip away, adding another run on another Rbigroundout to make it 4-3.

Needing a spark, the

Miners would get hot in fifth, scoring six in the frame.

Ross Morgan kicked off the scoring with a suicide squeeze bunt, bringing hom John Crain from third and making it 5-3 Bauxite.
