Area man charged in child porn case
MECHANICVILLE — Police have arrested a city man for allegedly possessing and promoting child pornography.
John Tokos, 35, of Warsaw Avenue was charged with 19 counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child and one felony count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, felonies.
After acting on a tip and executing a search warrant at the man’s home, investigators seized two computers containing multiple images and videos of children in various sexual situations, police said.
Tokos was arraigned in Mechanicville City Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail on $ 10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

Police reported: ä Celerino RamirezGarcia, 35, of Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs was charged with seconddegree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony he allegedly committed at 1: 07 p. m. May 8 on New York Racing Association property.
Aaron M. Edwards, 32, of Angel Road in Corinth was charged at 12:43 p.m. May 8 at the Price Chopper on Ballston Avenue with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and trespass, a violation.
James L. Salvo, 41, of Gerling Street in Schenectady was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, after he allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of items from the Olde Saratoga Brewing Co.

Earl J. Pregent, 45, of Moreau was charged at 3: 18 p. m. May 7 with second- degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.
Jeffrey T. Favreau, 36, of Saratoga Springs was charged at 11:05 p.m. May 7 with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.

A spokesperson reported: ä Morgan K. Sharadin, 21, of Ballston Spa pleaded guilty May 7 to thirddegree burglary, a felony he committed in January in Halfmoon, and thirddegree criminal mischief, a felony he committed in Wilton over two weeks in January. He is scheduled to be sentenced June 27.
Carlos Holmes, 32, of Clifton Park pleaded guilty May 7 to third- degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony he committed in December in Clifton Park. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.
William R. Johnson, 44, of Mechanicville pleaded guilty May 7 to firstdegree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.
Kip E. Asmus, 30, of Schenectady pleaded guilty May 7 to driving while intoxicated, a felony he committed in January in Clifton Park. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.
Karream J. Crenshaw, 34, of Clifton Park pleaded guilty May 7 to driving while intoxicated, a felony he committed in May in Clifton Park. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.
Kannan G. Kristel, 40, of Gansevoort pleaded guilty May 7 to driving while intoxicated, a felony he committed in April in Moreau. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.
Adam Concepcion Jr., 19, of Clifton Park was sentenced May 7 to one to three years in state prison and ordered to pay $ 1,000 in restitution for fourth- degree grand larceny, a felony he committed in December in Clifton Park.
Christopher R. Meyer, 25, of Gansevoort was sentenced to time served of six weekends in Saratoga County Jail for failure to report an Internet account change within 10 days as a sex offender, a felony he committed in June in Wilton. — By Caitlin Morris and Lucian McCarty
