Library Babies will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10 in the Crawshaw Story Room. This is an informal playgroup for babies under the age of 24 months with their parent or caregiver.

The first 15 minutes of this program will include rhymes, songs and activities with a librarian. No registrati­on required. Children may read to certified therapy dogs through the Tail Waggin’ Tutors program. Read to Buck, a “Schnoodle” from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Call 584-7860, opt. 3 to schedule a 10-minute session for your child. The Sunday Club will meet at noon Sunday, May 12 in the Glasby Room. This is an informal weekend club for teens on the Autism Spectrum to get together socially and play board games. For ASD teens who are selfsuffic­ient. No registrati­on required. Llamas in the Library will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12 in the H. Dutcher Community Room. Participan­ts will enjoy an up close and personal encounter with live llamas from Dakota Ridge Farm.

The owners will introduce their llamas and share some llama facts. There will be a reading of “Is Your Mama a Llama?” Children will have the opportunit­y to pet the llamas camera’s are welcome.

For all ages. No registrati­on required. Friends of Saratoga Springs Public Library will be holding their 10 cent paperback book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 in the H. Dutcher Community Room. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., items in the Book Bag Shop will be 20 percent off. The Teen Room monthly birthday celebratio­n for May will take place at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 in the Teen Room. The program is for teens and their friends in grades 6 to 12 that have a May birthday. No registrati­on required. The Lego Club takes place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 in the H. Dutcher Community Room. Children in grades kindergart­en through grade 5 are welcome to participat­e. Parents and caregivers are also welcome . Participan­ts will use their imaginatio­ns to create buildings, creatures, and other objects. This program will not include Lego robotics. No registrati­on required. The Thursdays@ Noon series continues with “The Brownings and the Trasks,” at noon on Thursday, May 16 in the H. Dutcher Community Room. Skidmore professor Hedi Jaouad will explore the interactio­ns between the Browning and Trask families, the Pen Browning paintings owned by the Trasks, and the influence of the poetry of Robert Browning and his wife Elizabeth Barrett Browning on Katrina Trask’s writings. The library’s ongoing reading group, Books & Tea will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 16 in the Susman Room to discuss Haely Tanner’s first novel “Vaclav and Lena,” the story of two children of Russian emigres who have settled in Brooklyn is a charming story that depicts tender love as well as the variables in immigrant experience­s. No registrati­on required. Adirondack Photograph­y, a slide show with photograph­er, Carl Heilman will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16 in the H. Dutcher Community Room. No registrati­on required. Students in grades 6 to 12 are invited to join the Teen Room for Thursday Night Magic: The Gathering at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16 in the Susman Room.

This is a competitiv­e tournament in modern format, using the Wizards Event Reporter. There will be prizes for the top three finishers. Refreshmen­ts will be served and no registrati­on is required. The library offers free computer classes for anyone 16 and older including, but not limited to: File Management II, 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 10; Backup & Restore Your Files II: More Advanced Concepts, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14; Switching to a Mac from a PC, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16.
