SCOTIA - Veronica A. Purcell, 77, of Glenville, formerly of Troy, beloved wife of the late Frank N. Bri- gnola, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Veronica Goebel Purcell. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and of The College of St. Rose, from where she earned her Bachelor degree.

She retired from laer County Child Protective Services as the Director.

She was a communican­t of Our Lady of Victory Church. She loved to read, travel in her motor home, was an avid antiquer and loved history.

Beloved mother of chelle (Gary W.) Burton of East Berne, Mark (Tricia) Brignola of Ravena and Matthew (Deidre Maturo)

Brignola of Glenville; sister of John (Lynn) Purcell of San Miguel, MN, Lorraine Godson of Troy and Lynn Mitnik of Satellite Beach, FL, cherished grandmothe­r of Benjamin and Matthew Burton and Zoe Brignola, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy thence to Our Lady Of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue (at the corner of Marshland Ct.), Troy, NY 12180 where at 9:30 a.m. the Mass of Christian Buri- al will be

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street in Troy on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Private interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
