Nelson B. La Tour

WILTON - Nelson B. La Tour, of Ernst Road, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 78.

Born on May 20, 1938 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late Berlate nard La Tour and the Charlotte (Bootier) La Tour Willson.

He is survived by his wife, Ilse G. La Tour; his father, Thomas Willson; two sons, Jeff and Joe LaTour. He is a brother of Suzzane (DenSigmar nis) LaTour-Ostrowski, Kathy and (Joe) Wilson, Stephanie (Dan) Bell and Margie (Joe) Wryck and brother-in-law of and Sheila Adelmann, Walgrandchildren. ter (Debbie) Adelmann. Nelson worked for the NY State ofComptrollers fice, where he met Ilse and many interests in his life included quiet times to read and watch his favorite shows. He also enjoyed watching the NY Giants on Sundays, sometimes at home or at McGregor Pub. His favorite baseball team was the Brooklyn Dodgers; they would always remain the Brooklyn Dodgers to Nelson as he had always listened to their games on the radio in the old days. He and his wife enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, Maine, and to Lake Placid and have many good friends that shared very enjoyable times at the Pub where he enjoyed talkenjoyed ing about sports and his flower gardens, while he a couple of beers.

Ilse would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on the A-3 floor of Saratoga Hospital. The doctors and nurses were very special to Nelson and also to Ilse, and they remain exceptional. They greatly aided Nelson, Ilse and family through this trying time, with their kindness and friendship. Nelson says “thank you” to all, especially Dr, Catherine Dawson and may God Bless all of you.
