Bruce E. Gratton

MALTA - Bruce E. ton, 60, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Born in Bambridge, Maryland on June 17, 1956 he was the son of Alphonse and Bertha Gratton.

Bruce was a talented auto body technician who loved working on cars. He worked at Elmo’s Auto Body in Scotia and Spa Body Works throughout his years.

Bruce enjoyed racing cars, fishing, bowling, playing cards with his brothers, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his fiancée Linda Ortiz, daughter Morgan Gratton, stepdaught­ers Venus Heflin and Brenda Hawks; grandchild­ren Tony, Kassandra, Jenae, Blake, Miranda and Ryen; brothers Mark Grat- ton, David Gratton, Lance Gratton, Dale Gratton and Peter Gratton; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 8 from 1pm to 3pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

In lieu of flowers rial contributi­ons in memory of Bruce may be made to the American Heart sociation.

Florence M. Stamm

SARATOGA SPRINGS Florence M. Stamm, 93, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017. She was born on June 7, 1923 in Youngsvill­e, North Carolina to Norman and Nora Mitchell.

Florence was raised in Franklinto­n, North Caro- lina and graduated from Franklinto­n High School at the age of 16. After working at the local 5&10 cent store for several years, she moved to Durham, NC. She began working at Wrights Machinery where she eventually met; and in 1955 married; William Stamm of Garden City, NY. William was a widower who was left with four children under the age of five. Florence loved and raised his children as her own.

Growing up in North Carolina, Florence was raised in the Baptist faith. After moving to Connecticu­t Florence and William joined St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Westport. Upon retirement William and Florence moved to Saratoga Springs, and became members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

She is predecease­d by her parents and sister Ruth Murray, daughter Lorraine Stamm and granddaugh­ter Melinda Lawrence.

Florence is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William Stamm; two daughters Barbara Lawrence (William) of Herndon, VA, and Catherine Goodwin (Frank) of Saratoga Springs; son William Stamm, Jr., of Canton, MA.; brother Robert Mitchell (Betty) of Durham, N C. Grandchild­ren include: Patrick Stamm, Caroline Stamm, Jennifer Braun and Michael Brennan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Tuesday, April 11 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylervi­lle.

Memorial tions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, The Shriners Hospital, or Make-A-Wish.

Marie Beagle Wait

SARATOGA SPRINGS Marie Beagle Wait, 90, of Embury Apartments, (formerly of Old Gick Road), passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 6, 1926 in Wilton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Abram Beagle and Katherine H. Kenyon Beagle. On September 12, 1953, she married the love of her life, Richard T. Wait.

Marie was a dedicated, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, aunt and friend. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, circle word puzzles and big gatherings with her family. One of her greatest joys in life was watching her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren grow up and spending time with them.

In addition to her ents, Marie was predecease­d by her siblings and her son William Farr.

She is survived by her son Thomas Farr; daughters Katherine Clark (Randy) and Darlene Pearsall (Robert); grandsons Edgar V. White III (Annemarie), James M. Weaver III (Tara) and Jeremy R. Weaver (Rachel) and great-grand-children Kiernan Weaver, Izzabella White and Logan Weaver. Marie is also survived by her step grand- children, step great-grand children and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6:30pm, with a prayer service at 6:30pm, on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Burial will be at a later date at the convenienc­e of the family.
