She won the Kentucky Juvenile at Churchill Downs on May 4 and followed that with a fifth in the Schuylerville Stakes on opening day at Saratoga.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » With a highly impressive debut victory on her slate, Madame X. comes to Saratoga for Wednesday’s $100,000 Bolton Landing Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at 5 ½ furlongs on turf.

Madame X, owned by Quest Realty and ridden by Sheldon Russell, scored by more than nine lengths on July 2 at Laurel Park at this distance.

“She was very precocious and did everything the right way right from the start,” said trainer Susan Cooney. “We liked her going in but you are always surprised when they do it that easily.”

Fairyland is in the Bolton Landing following a trip to Royal Ascot for the Group 3 Albany Stakes on June 23.

She was 12th in the Albany after showing early speed, and has trained nicely at Saratoga for this race.

Fairyland broke her maiden at first asking on April 7 at Keeneland; she adds blinkers to her equipment for the Bolton Landing.

Sly Beauty arrives from Woodbine following a maiden victory on June 18 at 6 furlongs on a yielding course.

She led all the way that day and has also trained well at Saratoga.

Mentality looks tough in the Bolton Landing off her sharp score at Belmont Park on June 16.

She was not asked to do much in that event and owns the top Beyer Speed Figure of 70 in this field.

The one local turf winner in the Bolton Landing is March X Press, who came from far back to win by a neck in her career debut on Aug. 2.

Despite hitting the gate she managed to prevail with a wide run on the turn at this distance.

Sugar Queen has two wins from three starts in her career.

She won her debut at Belmont on May 3 on dirt and followed with a fourth in the Astoria Stakes on June 8.

At Saratoga she captured an upper level optional claimer at 5 ½ furlongs that was originally scheduled for turf.

With those three races under her belt, Sugar Queen makes her turf debut.

The field’s lone stakes winner is Buy Sell Hold, who is also making her grass debut in the Bolton Landing.

She won the Kentucky Juvenile at Churchill Downs on May 4 and followed that with a fifth in the Schuylerville Stakes on opening day at Saratoga.

Completing the Bolton Landing field is Life Time Citizen.
