LARRY D. ALLEN

MALTA - Larry D. Allen, 70, passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Born in Ballston Spa, NY on May 21, 1947, he was the son of late Richard Allen and Edythe Wiley, but raised by his late grandparents Elsworth “Pete” and Lillian Allen, whom he called “Mom and Dad.” He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving in the US Army and was a member of VFW Post 358 and American Legion Post 234 in Ballston Spa. Larry owned and operated CMM Painting in Ballston Spa, but enjoyed his love for singing like Elvis with the “Just us Karaoke” that he and his late wife, Judith “Judy” Allen and step-daughter, Victoria Greene owned and operated for many years. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Judith Allen and his siblings, Clark Barlow, Richard Delaney, Timothy Allen and Patti Allen. Larry is survived by his daughter Jessica Gadway (Tim Pugh) and her children Aries, Brandon, Kayleigh and Gavin; stepchildren Victoria Greene and her son Bronson, Richard Dingman (Robin) and his children Loryn, Austin and Asa and Becky Holt and her children Quennah, Jaysen, Jared and Jacob; siblings Robert (Glenda) Thomas, Kenneth Nicholson, Barbara (Roy) Searle, Nancy Hill, Michael Allen (Jennifer), Edward (Mary) Delaney, David Allen; Uncle Clarence (Helen) Allen; his beloved companion Paula Stage and her daughter Shana and grandson, Quinn and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services with military honors will be held 11:30am Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
