Cops charge 3 suspects with burglary
Mercedes-Benz stolen from home on Lake Avenue
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » City police said three people have been charged for burglarizing a home on Lake Avenue last September.
Michael A. Coonradt, 21, of Granville, Quintan L Smith, 19, of Ballston Spa, and Dillion C. Poirier, 17, of Porters Corners, were arrested recently following a lengthy investigation.
City police said officers responded to a burglary complaint at a single family home on Sept. 6, early in the morning. The resi- dents — who were home, in bed when the burglary took place — reported several items missing from inside the home and their 2010 Mercedes Benz missing from the driveway.
The stolen Mercedes was found damaged and abandoned along outer Church Street while the investigation was ongoing on Sept. 8, police said.
Coonradt was arrested on Feb. 23 and charged with criminal mischief in the third-degree, a felony; burglary in the second-degree, a felony; grand larceny in the thirddegree, a felony; and criminal possession of stole property in the fifth-degree, a misdemeanor.
Smith arrested Feb. 27, and faces the same charges as Coonradt.
Poirier was arrested Feb. 27, and charged with criminal mischief in the third-degree, a felony; burglary in the second-degree, a felony; criminal possession of stolen property in the third-degree, a felony; and criminal possession of stole property in the fifth-degree, a misdemeanor.
Coonradt was arraigned and committed to Saratoga County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Smith and Poirer were both committed to Saratoga County on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond after arraignment.
