AMERICA, LAND OF TRANSFORMATION: Samantha Bosshart, Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, will be part of a panel discussion after a 4 p.m. showing of the 1939 short documentary, “The City,” accompanied by Aaron Copland’s musical score performed live by the Glens Falls Symphony at Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center. The panel discussion about themes presented in the film will be moderated by Maestro Charles Peltz and will also feature Janet Null, architect and former urban planner from Argus Architecture of Troy, and Jaclyn Hakes, urban planner with MJ Engineering and Land Surveying. WHO RESCUED WHO: Come to Fuccillo Nissan at 976 New Loudon Road in Latham between noon and 4 p.m. on March 18 and meet the birds! Birds are extremely intelligent and engaging pets, but unfortunately many that are purchased are soon given up by owners who are unprepared for the challenges that come with them. The Who Rescued Who! event is a great opportunity to spend time with the adoptable birds cared for at Northeast Avian Rescue (NEAR).The event kicks off a #25,000 fundraiser for the start of the NEAR Facility Project for birds awaiting adoption.
