SHELLEY LYNN MERCHANT-MYERS

WINTER HAVEN, FL Shelley Lynn Merchant-Myers, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Glens Falls Hospital on August 20, 1962. Shelley was an amazing wife to David Arthur Myers Jr. for 37 wonderful years. Together they had five children, David Arthur Myers III, Garry Charles Myers, Ryan Andrew Myers, Sharron Lynn Myers, and Elizabeth Rachel Myers. She was also the World’s Greatest Grandmother to two grandchildren Zachary Thomas Myers (13), and Skylar Lynn Myers (7 months) who will miss her with all their heart and souls. Her parents Kenneth Garry Merchant Sr and Sharron Lynn Merchant will miss her so much. Kenneth Garry Merchant Jr (her brother) will miss his older sister, as will his two children Nadia Rae Merchant and Kai Joseph Merchant. Shelley became an RN in 1992. She retired as a registered nurse from Hale Creek Correctional Facility and became a full time mother. Shelley, with husband David and youngest daughter Elizabeth moved to Winter Haven, FL five years ago from Saratoga Springs, NY. Not only was she a wife, a mother, a grandmother, but a friend to all that met her. She would take the shirt off her back and the last dollar she had in her pocket for anyone who asked for it because she knew it would brighten their day. Shelley enjoyed gardening, flowers and watching birds and butterflies that roamed her gardens. She liked anything Star Trek, all Disney, and every Peanut character. She was an amazing woman and will surely be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at 7pm, where after she will be cremated.
