Conley named assistant principal
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » Cody Conley was recently named the assistant principal at Saratoga Springs High School.
Conley has been the vice principal of Lake George Junior-Senior High School.
Conley joins the district after spending the past eight years working at Lake George Junior-Senior High School. Conley replaces Timothy Harris, who took the assistant principal position at Maple Avenue Middle School.
“All of the stakeholders who were involved in the interview process were impressed with Mr. Conley’s leadership experiences and his strong curriculum and instruction background,” Superintendent Michael Patton said in a news release. “Mr. Conley brings a wealth of experience and is
very excited to begin working closely with our high school students, staff, parents and administrative team.”
The appointment is effective Aug. 1.
Conley earned a bachelor’s degree in special education/elementary education from Plattsburgh State University in 2000 and a master’s degree in literacy from University at Albany in 2005. He holds a permanent certificate from New York State as a school district administrator, a teacher for prek, kindergarten, grades 1-6 and special education. In addition, he holds a professional certificate from New York State in literacy.
Saratoga Springs High School in March named Michelle Tsao principal, replacing interim principal Lynette Whaley, who retired, on July 1. Tsao spent the past three years as principal at Averill Park High School.
