GRANT COTTAGE: During the Civil War, Corinth sent two out of every seven men of its population to fight for the Union. Many did not return, and those who did came back with stories of tragedy, heroism and tales that stir the imaginatio­n. The most accessible trails for observing the endangered butterflie­s are at Camp Saratoga where the trail leaves from parking lot #1 on Scout Road. The other trails are Old Gick Farm and Fox which are accessed from parking areas off of Route 50, just north of King Road. Guided nature walks to look for butterflie­s will take place on Wednesdays from July 11 - August 1, at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. The walks leave from the parking area for the Saratoga Sandplains Wildlife Management Area Old Gick Farm on Route 50, just under four miles past Wilton Mall.
