BROWN BAG LUNCH PROGRAM:

The Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center, in partnershi­p with the Saratoga Springs Public Library, presents the Fall 2018 Brown Bag Lunch Series, an annual educationa­l program meant to highlight the rich history, culture and traditions of our city and Heritage Area. Red Oak Ridge & Mud Pond Hike, 10 a.m. - noon. This hike (rated Moderate) traverses the Red Oak Ridge trail at a friendly pace over to the Mud Pond trail and loops it back around. SALEM COURTHOUSE ART EXHIBIT:

“Mills on the Kill,” an exhibit curated by Salem Deputy Historian Judy Flagg with Sally Brillon and Elizabeth Cockey, will be on display at the Historic Salem Courthouse Community Center from September 11 - October 11. ‘Mills on the Kill’ portrays the history of industry from the mid 19th century until present day through early photograph­s, drawings, artwork and objects from the material culture. This show is the fifth of six installmen­ts in the 2018 Great Hall Art Exhibit series presented by the Historic Salem Courthouse Community Center. The public is invited to a free opening reception with the curators on Thursday, September 13, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Courthouse is located at 58 East Broadway, Salem.

Join Wilton Wildlife Preserve and volunteers from the Adirondack Skywatcher­s and the Albany Area Amateur Astronomer­s, Inc. at 7:30 p.m. to study the night sky in all of its beauty at Camp Saratoga. People of all ages are invited to come and play board games, card games, role-playing games, etc. and help raise money for Extra Life, a charity benefiting the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
