Ball­ston Spa Cen­tral School Dis­trict stu­dents honor mil­i­tary vet­er­ans

BALL­STON SPA, N.Y. >> Stu­dents in the Ball­ston Spa Cen­tral School Dis­trict hon­ored U.S. mil­i­tary vet­er­ans is a few spe­cial ways dur­ing the week lead­ing up to Vet­er­ans Day.

In ob­ser­vance of the hol­i­day, the Ball­ston Spa High School So­cial Stud­ies Depart­ment hosted an an­nual pre­sen­ta­tion by the Korean War Vet­eran As­so­ci­a­tion on Thurs­day, with more than 100 stu­dents in at­ten­dance.

On Fri­day, Mil­ton Ter­race Ele­men­tary School hosted its an­nual school­wide Vet­er­ans Day Assem-

bly, which in­cluded a break­fast for lo­cal vet­er­ans.

Over at Wood Road Ele­men­tary School, chil­dren wore pa­tri­otic colors on Fri­day af­ter­noon for their Red, White and Blue As­sem­bly, with many vet­er­ans and class salutes.

In Ball­ston Spa Mid­dle School, recog­ni­tion of Vet­er­ans Day is in­cor­po­rated into class­room lessons, along with an Amer­ica’s White Ta­ble tribute dis­play in the lobby and Ser­vice Club cre­at­ing a “Stars of Ser­vice” wall on the art win­dows.
