King’s 28 points help CBA Basketball to Tuesday night win

SCHALMONT 63, LA SALLE 60. La Salle dropped a tough Colonial Council battle at home against Schalmont Tuesday night. La Salle erased an 11 point 3rd quarter deficit to tie the game with 40 seconds. Schalmont’s Darrell Green, LJ Randle, and Shane O’Dell each tallied 14 points in the win for Schalmont. La Salle was led by Luke Bourgault’s 14 points.

TAMARAC 72, BISHOP MAGINN 63: Tamarac picked up the win Tuesday thanks to a 27 point performanc­e from Bo Catherwood, who was also three for six from the free throw line. Frank Zotto added 23 points of his own in the win. Bishop Maginn’s McMullen scored 25 points in the loss.

TROY 68, ALBANY 59 : Troy earned the Section 2 win over Albany Tuesday thanks to a 23 point performanc­e from Nazaire Merritt. Albany’s offense was led by Michael Benitez, who scored 18 points in the loss. Albany’s Tye-Rell Monroe and Trevor Johnson added eight points apiece.

CATHOLIC CENTRAL 47, COHOES 36: Catholic Central earned the win Tuesday over Cohoes. Jackson Brown scored 14 and Al’lon Walters scored 13 to power CCHS. Cohoes was led by Troy Snyder’s 10 points and Ivan Brajac scored eight.

MOHONASEN 71, ICHABOD CRANE 27: Mohonasen overpowere­d Ichabod Crane Tuesday thanks to Duncan Tallman’s 27 point performanc­e. Chase Monroe scored nine and Logan Calkins eight as the next highest scorers. ICC’s leading scorer, Kennedy, had seven points.

BETHLEHEM 77, SHAKER 53: Bethlehem earned the Suburban Council win over Shaker Tuesday afternoon. Bethlehem’s Michael Ortale and Erik Salo each tallied 14 points in the win. Shaker’s leading scorer was Trey Mariano, who scored 16 points.

SHEN 57. NISKAYUNA 51: Shen improves to 1-1 overall this season with the Suburban Council win over Niskayuna Tuesday. For Shen, Devin Dzikas scored 19 points to lead the Plainsman to the win. Niskayuna’s top scorer was, Kelly, who also scored 19.

SHAKER 47, BETHLEHEM 40: Maddy Malicki scored 13 points and Jules DeBeatham notched 11 in Shaker’s win over Bethlehem. Bethlehem’s Wise scored 14 in the loss.

HOLY NAMES 51, SCHALMONT 29: Holy Names spread out the floor on their way to the win over Schalmont Tuesday. Grace Field scored 11, Saniyna Adams scored ten for Holy Names in the win. Holy Names had 11 different scorers. Schalmont’s Payton Graber scored 16 and Haley Burchhardt scored 10 in the loss. and Chris Young a 605 in the loss.

BETHLEHEM 17.5, SCHENECTAD­Y 14.5 (GIRLS): Bethlehem knocked down 3043 pins in route to the Suburban Council win over Schenectad­y Tuesday night. Schenectad­y finished with a 2966 pin total.
