Two lo­cal men plead guilty to rob­bery

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Saratoga Springs District At­tor­ney Karen Heggen re­cently an­nounced that two lo­cal men plead guilty to a rob­bery that took place in July.

Heg­gan said Scott F. Lu­ciano, 32, of Gal­way, and Shane A. Nadolny, 41, of Ballston Spa, plead guilty in Saratoga County Court to sec­ond-de­gree rob­bery, a class “C” Vi­o­lent Felony, be­fore Saratoga County Judge James A. Mur­phy, III.

Lu­ciano and Nadolny pleaded guilty, ad­mit­ting in Court that they forcibly stole money from a man in the City of Saratoga Springs on July 9, 2018.

District At­tor­ney Heggen has de­clined fur­ther com­ment pend­ing sen­tenc­ing in the Saratoga County Court.

The District At­tor­ney’s of­fice said they re­main in con­tact with the vic­tim and his fam­ily through­out the pro­ceed­ings.

As­sis­tant At­tor­ney Charles Bucca pros­e­cuted the cases and has de­ferred com­ment un­til sen­tenc­ing, which is cur­rently sched­uled for Jan­uary 30, 2019.

At that time the de­fen­dants are ex­pected to be sen­tenced to five years in prison, fol­lowed by a pos­si­ble five years of re­lease su­per­vi­sion.
