Two local men plead guilty to robbery
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Saratoga Springs District Attorney Karen Heggen recently announced that two local men plead guilty to a robbery that took place in July.
Heggan said Scott F. Luciano, 32, of Galway, and Shane A. Nadolny, 41, of Ballston Spa, plead guilty in Saratoga County Court to second-degree robbery, a class “C” Violent Felony, before Saratoga County Judge James A. Murphy, III.
Luciano and Nadolny pleaded guilty, admitting in Court that they forcibly stole money from a man in the City of Saratoga Springs on July 9, 2018.
District Attorney Heggen has declined further comment pending sentencing in the Saratoga County Court.
The District Attorney’s office said they remain in contact with the victim and his family throughout the proceedings.
Assistant Attorney Charles Bucca prosecuted the cases and has deferred comment until sentencing, which is currently scheduled for January 30, 2019.
At that time the defendants are expected to be sentenced to five years in prison, followed by a possible five years of release supervision.
