CLEVELAND (AP) >> A person familiar with the deal says the Cleveland Browns and free agent tight end Demetrius Harris have agreed to a two-year contract.

Harris, who backed up Pro Bowler Travis Kelce in Kansas City, will be added to the roster when the NFL free agency signing period begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because teams are not permitted to announce any moves until later.

In Cleveland, Harris will be reunited with Browns general manager John Dorsey, who signed him in 2013 with the Chiefs.

Martinez will not appear in an exhibition games. He is to throw on flat ground for the next week before moving to a mound.

St. Louis has not announced a timetable for Martinez’s arm strengthening program. The pitcher received a platelet-rich plasma injection two weeks ago, and manager Mike Shildt said treatment improved Martinez’s condition.

A 27-year-old right-hander, Martinez was the Cardinals’ opening-day starter last year but did not pitch for St. Louis from May 8 until June 5 last year because of a strained right lat muscle. ZURICH (AP) >> A former senior FIFA official who was a cooperating witness for American authorities after being indicted on corruption charges has been banned from soccer for seven years.

FIFA says its ethics judges took Rafael Salguero’s cooperation into account when banning him for bribery. The charge typically leads to a life ban.

Salguero, who was a FIFA executive committee member for eight years until 2015, was also found guilty of “illegal reselling” of World Cup tickets.

FIFA says the Guatemalan official is also fined 100,000 Swiss francs ($99,500). He earned $300,000 plus expenses in his final year on FIFA’s ruling committee.

Three months ago, Salguero was sentenced in Brooklyn federal court to the time he already served in prison.
