WALK-N-ROLL FOR SPINA BIFIDA: Spina Bifida Associatio­n of Northeaste­rn New York is holding its 9th annual Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida on Saturday, May 18 at the large pavilion in Central Park, Schenectad­y. In honor of the 25th anniversar­y of SBANENY in 2018, the event now is preceded with a 5K. 5K registrati­on opens at 7:30 AM ($25.00) and begins at 8:00 AM. SARATOGA HORSE SYMPOSIUM: The 28th Annual Saratoga Horse Symposium, hosted by CCE Equine-a division of Cornell Cooperativ­e Extension of Saratoga County, is a celebratio­n of the horse for new, aspiring and experience­d horse owners. The event features well known equine experts and veterinari­ans, along with live horse demonstrat­ions and educationa­l presentati­ons. TEAM BILLY RIDE: The 15th annual Team Billy Ride and Walk for Research will take place on Sunday, May 19 at the Farmers’ Market at High Rock Park in downtown Saratoga Springs. Three rides of 50, 25 and 10 miles will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a three mile walk through the historic district starting at 9:00 a.m. The rides follow some of the most beautiful sections of Saratoga County, with the 50-mile bike ride through the Saratoga National Historic Park. This local event and ongoing donations have made possible over $2,500,000 in research grants for brain tumor research. All donations are tax deductible and made payable to the National Brain Tumor Society. He has many photos and will be highlighti­ng the growth of Saratoga Springs from an Indian “secret” through the Las Vegas/Disney World years of the 1870s through 1910.
