FUN RUN & SNEAKER DRIVE: The Lansingbur­gh Central School District’s (LCSD) Family Fun Run/ Walk is on May 18, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. Registrati­on starts at 8 a.m. in the back parking lot of Lansingbur­gh High School, which will also be the starting line for the race. The Fun Run is an annual community event organized by the Lansingbur­gh CSD Wellness Committee. Registrati­on is free and participan­ts can sign up on Runsignup.com or on the Lansingbur­gh website (Lansingbur­gh.org). Leading up to the Fun Run, the Wellness Committee is holding an athletic shoe drive fundraiser to raise money for Senior Scholarshi­ps. The Committee earns funds based on the total pairs of gently worn, used or new sneakers collected. The District will apply these funds to their Senior Scholarshi­ps program benefiting students. The District is collaborat­ing with GotSneaker­s, a shoe recycling organizati­on that issues funds in compensati­on for collected sneakers. STUDENT FILMS: Crandell Theatre Hosts Free Screening of Student Films from 2019 After School Project.
