BASEBALL LANSINGBUR­GH 3, SCHALMONT 1 - Lansingbur­gh narrowly escaped with the win thanks to a three run third inning Wednesday to lead the Knights to a 3-1 Colonial Council win over Schalmont. Jake Lapham pitched six and a third to earn the win for Lansingbur­gh. Lapham struck out nine in the win.

BURNT HILLS 6, SHAKER 3 - Burnt Hills earned the Suburban Council win over Shaker Wednesday with a three run sixth inning rocketing them into the lead. Burnt Hills’ Sam Gardy doubled and singled in the win, with Hunter Valley singling twice and hitting three RBI. For Shaker, Nolan Dils had a single and two RBI in the loss.

GUILDERLAN­D 12, ALBANY 4 - Guilderlan­d’s offense powered its way through Albany Wednesday to earn the Suburban Council win. For Albany, Max Kendall had a single and double with two RBI and Alex Casciotti had three singles. For Guilderlan­d, Dallas Seyler had two singles and three RBI, while scoring two runs, in the win. Guilderlan­d improves to 10-7 overall while Albany falls to 2-12.

COLUMBIA 6, AVERILL PARK 4 - Columbia scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure the Suburban Council win over Averill Park. Andrew Powell picked up the win while Alex Houghtalin­g was pinned with the loss. For Averill Park, Ian Zieske contribute­d two RBI and Steve Koval doubled and singled in the loss. For Columbia, Robert Erno hit a two RBI double that put the Blue Devils ahead of Averill Park in the seventh inning. Zach Eldred contribute­d a double and single in the win.

BOYS LACROSSE

SHAKER 12, COLONIE 1 - Shaker carried an 8-1 lead into halftime Wednesday as they rolled along to the win over Colonie on hump day. For Shaker, Matt Caliccha led the offense with five goals and two assists, with Amos Grimm adding four goals and two assists. Shaker also had goals contribute­d from Sean Mclean, Zach Mein, Ian Shelmerdin­e, and Jack Alvey. In the cage, Ryan Mazzariell­o made five saves. For Colonie, Tyler Mcque scored the lone goal, with Justin Loudis made 12 saves. SOFTBALL BALLSTON SPA 4, TROY 3 - Ballston Spa narrowly escaped with the Suburban Council win over Troy Wednesday afternoon. Ballston Spa pitcher Lauren Kersch struck out eight en route to the win over the Flying Horses. Ryleigh Haynes was pinned with the loss for Troy. Angelina Stile totaled two RBI, with Ana Gold and Katelyn Hilko each contributi­ng an RBI apiece in the win for Ballston Spa. Julia Russell and Hilko each had multiple hit games, each totaled two hits. Ballston Spa is now 12-3 overall this season.

LANSINGBUR­GH 18, SCHALMONT 6 - The Lansingbur­gh offense rolled along Wednesday as the Knights picked up the Colonial Council win over Schalmont. Lansingbur­gh had five run second and third innings to all but secure the win Wednesday. For Lansingbur­gh, Madison Teta went four four with a three run homerun, a grand slam homerun, two doubles, and nine RBI in the win. Angelise Montaneze went four for four with a solo homerun and scored five runs in the win.

SHEN 3, BETHLEHEM 2 - Shen scored two runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning to pull away with the Suburban Council win over Bethlehem. Hannah Garrett hit the game tying run in with runners on first and third and Ella Hammes hit the game winning run with a squeeze down the first base line. Hammes finished one for four with two RBI and Garrett two for four with an RBI. Ellen Fuda went two for three and scored the winning run for Shen. For Bethlehem, Haley Nash and Anna Cleary each hit solo homeruns. BOYS TENNIS CBA 4, HUDSON HIGH 3 - CBA upset Hudson High in the non conference matchup Wednesday. CBA becomes 2-13 in the win, with Hudson High picking up their first loss of the season and becoming 14-1. Results are as follows: 1S: Michael Kendrick (Christian Brothers) d.
