Garden Club f lower show set for July

SCHUYLERVI­LLE, N.Y. >> The Schuylervi­lle Garden Club will present its an­nual Na­tional Garden Club Stan­dard Flower Show in July with a theme of “Games Peo­ple Play.”

The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Satur­day, July 13, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sun­day, July 14, in the Saratoga Town Hall, lo­cated at 12 Spring St. in Schuylervi­lle.

There will be flo­ral de­sign and hor­ti­cul­ture com­pe­ti­tions, which will be judged by trained judges. A pho­tog­ra­phy di­vi­sion will be judged by the peo­ple at­tend­ing the show.

All di­vi­sions re­flect the “Games Peo­ple Play” theme.

The show will also in­clude plant, glove and bake sales, prizes from a ben­e­fit ta­ble and youth and spe­cial ex­hibits.

A pre­sen­ta­tion of “The Care and Prop­a­ga­tion of African Vi­o­lets” will be given at 2:30 p.m. on by Steve Sarano of Sarano’s Green­house. He will show the au­di­ence how to start and care for these beau­ti­ful house plants.

Ad­mis­sion and re­fresh­ments are free.
