Sunday, July 28 SUMMER CONCERT:
Saratoga Rock Voices is an adult, community, no-audition, choir that sings Rock music. Their summer season is themed Motown. They perform with a professional rock band, and this season, they are including a 3-piece horn section. They will be bringing the sounds of Motown to Saratoga on Sunday, July 28at 6:00p.m. for a performance at Saratoga Abundant Life Church, 2Hutchins Road, Saratoga Springs (of which the band has no affiliation). Partial proceeds from the concert will be donated to Saratoga Center for the Family. The mission of Rock Voices is: Healing ourselves and others through song. They use the power of their voices combined in song to help raise money and awareness for charitable organizations. Empire State Capital Volkssporters has scheduled many group walks in the Capital District and beyond this June and July. A volkswalk is a leisurely-paced walk of 5k, 3.1miles or 10k, 6.2miles through a scenic and/or historically significant area. Everyone is welcome to share fun, fitness and friendship. BARBERSHOP ON BROADWAY:
The Racing City Chorus returns to Broadway, Saratoga Springs for six consecutive Thursday evenings from July 25-August 29during Racing Season to entertain summer crowds with their A Cappella “Barbershop-style” singing. Performances will begin at 7pm and continue at a variety of downtown venues until 9pm. After their weekly line-up of Broadway appearances, the group will visit the Olde Bryan Inn for an “After-Glow Party” that will include food and drink specials and an informal continuation of their A Cappella entertainment.
