Final qualifiers named for NENY PGA match play championships
Eric Mabee, PGA Head Professional at Country Club of Pittsfield will lead the final six match play qualifiers into next week’s match play championship on September 24 and 25 at Colonie Golf and Country Club.
Mabee recorded a score of 4 under par 66 (36-30) to capture the low qualifying score today at Normanside Country Club. Joining Mabee from today’s Qualifier into the Match Play Championship will be: Frank Mellet, PGA Director of Golf at Colonie Golf & Country Club (36-34—70); Jeremy Kerr, PGA Head Professional at Mohawk Golf Club (35-36— 71); Dal Daily, PGA Head Professional at Windham Country Club (40-35—75); Brian Daley, PGA Assistant Professional at Colonie Golf & Country Club (36-39—75); Marc Levesque, PGA Assistant Professional at Wyantenuck Country Club (41-36— 77).
These six qualifiers will join the following 10 exempt players in the Match Play Championship: Scott Berliner, PGA Assistant Professional at Hiland Park Golf Club; Chris Sanger, PGA Head Professional at Woodstock Golf Club; Michael Decker, PGA Assistant Professional at Shaker Ridge Country Club; Justin Hearley, PGA Assistant Professional at Normanside Country Club; Kyle Kressler, PGA Owner/Head Professional at Cedar View Golf Club; John Neet, PGA Teaching Professional at The Edison Club; Scott Battiste, PGA Head Professional at Eagle Crest Golf Club; Ian Breen, PGA Assistant Professional at Whiteface Club & Resort; Bob Cain, PGA Teaching Professional at Saratoga National Golf Club and Peter Gerard, PGA Teaching Professional at Mill Road Acres Golf Course.
