AUTHOR EVENT: “Beyond the Point” Breakfast Discussion - A Story of Friendship, Heartbreak, and Resilience. 7:30 - 9 a.m., October 31, Saratoga National Golf Club, 358 Union Ave. Saratoga Springs. Author Claire Gibson will present the research process behind her novel, Beyond the Point, and share several stories from the women veterans she interviewe­d along the way. She will talk about the importance of veteran voices, telling stories in a way that honors not just service and sacrifice but also individual personalit­ies, and her quest to bridge the divide between veterans and civilians. Cost is $20.

BEER SHOWCASE: The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase will feature an all-new lineup of local and regional brews, wines and cider when it returns to the Albany Capital Center on November 1-3, 2019. The Saratoga Eagle Craft Beer Garden, presented by Great Lakes Brewing Company, will be open Friday from 4 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3:30 p.m. (must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID). Additional­ly, guests will be able to enjoy two varieties of mimosas, apple cider and orange, on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Sampling tickets are $6 for three samples of any craft beer, wine or cider selections (cash only). Sunday mimosa specials are available for $8 per serving. SALE: The Ladies Society of St. George Church, South Glens Falls, will hold its annual ethnic food, bake, tag & jewelry sale on Saturday, November 2 nd from 9 am – 2 pm at the Parish Center, corner of 55 Main Street and Second Street. Corinth Town Historian Rachel Clothier of the Corinth Museum will be at the Corinth Free Library on Saturday November 2 from 2-4pm. People are invited to bring their old photos of Corinth and the surroundin­g area for a photo share event. In addition to sharing the photos with other local history buffs, Mrs. Clothier will scan the photos into the Corinth Museum’s database. The Corinth Museum posts one photo a night on their Facebook page. The Museum’s many fans eagerly await these posts. CRAFT FAIR: Annual Corpus Christi Craft Fair on Sat, Nov 2 from 9 to 4:30 and on Sun, Nov 3 from 9 to 1 (DST). Thirty-three (33) vendors will show their wares. The “Church Mice” of Corpus Christi will also be selling their hand crafted items. The day will include a Bake Sale, Morning Café, light lunch with homemade soup and pizza, until 2 p.m. (No lunch will be served on Sunday.) Raffles of unique prizes and children’s activities are also

HAM HARVEST SUPPER:

On Saturday, November 2, the Annual Ham Harvest Supper will be continuous­ly served from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Old Saratoga Reformed Church at the corner of Pearl and Burgoyne Streets in Schuylervi­lle. The menu is: Baked ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash, green beans, Dutch Kraut, rolls and butter, homemade apple and pumpkin pies, beverages. Price for adults is $12.00, $6.00 for children 5-12, and free for children under 5. Take-outs are available.
