Malta Food Fest slated for Wednesday

MALTA, N.Y. >> The upcoming Malta Food Fest will support innovative local educationa­l programs.

The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, in partnershi­p with the Ballston Spa Central School District and Hudson Valley Community College TEC-SMART, will host the Malta Food Fest from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the HVCC TEC-SMART Campus, located at 345 Hermes Rd. in Malta.

More than 20 restaurant­s will be on hand serving food samples including pizza, desserts, soups, sliders and beverages.

Participat­ing restaurant­s include: Wired, Nanola, The Hideaway, Two Birds & Iron Roost, Augie’s, The Adelphi Food Truck, Mazzone Hospitalit­y, 30 Park & The Diamond Club Grill, Blaze Pizza, Spot Coffee, Healthy Living Market & Café, Esperanto’s, Leah’s Cakery, Stewart’s Shops and Ben & Jerry’s.

There will also be a robot demonstrat­ion by the Ballston Spa Robotics team as well as face painting and craft activities for children provided by Ballston Spa High School and Early College High School students.

The general public is invited to purchase a ticket to the event, with proceeds benefiting the Ballston Spa Partnershi­p for Innovation in Education Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, Inc.

Tickets for this event are $15 per person and can be purchased on the Saratoga County Chamber website, https://chamber.saratoga.org/events/details/ malta-foodfest-41427. Children under the age of six are free to attend.

The net proceeds of this event will be contribute­d to the Ballston Spa Partnershi­p for Innovation in Education Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, Inc.
