The event, now in its sixth year, will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the SaratogaWilton Elks Lodge #161, located at 1 Elks Ln., Saratoga Springs.
The evening will include trivia, raffles, prime rib dinner, dessert a cash bar and prizes. It’s expected to be “a lot of fun for people,” said David Wallingford, president of the The Friends of the New York State Military Museum.
“We host it in conjunction with Elks as a fundraiser for The Friends of the Museum,” Wallingford continued. “It’s our biggest fundraiser we have all year.”
Proceeds from the event will help support the New York State Military Museum and its mission to preserve, interpret and disseminate the story, history and records of New York State military forces and veterans. Located at 61 Lake Ave. in Saratoga Springs, in a former armory, the museum displays thousands of artifacts including uniforms, weapons & art from the Civil War to the present.
The museum is currently starting a project to create a permanent exhibit on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and funds raised at the Trivia Night will help with
this endeavor.

The winning trivia team will receive their choice of a prize, and will have the opportunity to take home the Trivia Night trophy, which will have their name engraved on it, until next year’s event. The remaining prizes will be raffled off.
