TRIVIA NIGHT FUNDRAISER: The Friends of the New York State Military Museum and Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161 invite you to the sixth annual Trivia Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 5 9:30 p.m. at the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge, located at 1 Elks Ln., Saratoga

COAT DRIVE: Post 36 of the Jewish War Veterans of Saratoga is launching its sixth annual Warm Outer Wear for Vets project. This project was establishe­d in 2014 as the post’s outreach program to service the cold weather needs of homeless veterans in Saratoga County, with a focus on the men’s and women’s Vet Houses in Ballston Spa. The project seeks to collect gently used, clean and warm outer wear (coats, gloves, scarves, hats and boots only), which will be distribute­d to the houses periodical­ly during the drive, which begins on Nov. 1 and ends on Dec. 1. Donation receptacle­s are available at four convenient locations in Saratoga Springs and Wilton. They are the cafeteria area of Wesley’s Embury Apartment complex at 133 Lawrence St. in Saratoga Springs, the front lobby of Congregati­on Shaara Tfille at 184 Weibel rd. in

Wilton, the main entrance of Temple Sinai on Broadway in Saratoga Springs and the lobby of The Summit apartment complex on Route 50 in Wilton. ART EXHIBITION: Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s Schacht Gallery presents The Eloquent Vessel a solo exhibition featuring the luscious woodfired vessels and sculpture of internatio­nally renowned ceramic artist Chris Gustin. BEGINNERS LINE DANCING: Ballston Spa Elks Lodge will be hosting Beginners Line Dancing on starting October 2nd thru December 11th at 7pm with Kevin Richards. STUDENT PLAY: The Ballston Spa High School Troupe will be switching things up this year and performing the musical Mamma Mia! as their Fall 2019 production. Performanc­es will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday November 14, 15, and 16. There is also a matinee at 1:00 on Saturday, November 16. All shows will be at Ballston Spa High School Auditorium, 220 Ballston Avenue. ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. The story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, creating an unforgetta­ble show. An amazing cast and crew, non-stop laughs, and explosive dance numbers combine to make Mamma Mia! a guaranteed smash hit. A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. ZEN BUDDHIST SITTING GROUP: We meet every Wednesday at Wilson Chapel, Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs. This gathering is open to everyone and is free of charge. HOLIDAY BASKET PROJECT: a sub-committee of the Galway Pantry is looking for individual­s or families willing to provide gifts for children and adolescent­s in the local area. Gift donations will benefit those within the boundaries of the Galway Central School district, which includes all of the towns of Charlton, Galway and Providence and only parts of the towns of Amsterdam, Broadalbin, Glenville, Milton and Perth which are in the school district.
