Mil­ton man dies in crash

GREEN­FIELD, N.Y. >> A Mil­ton man died af­ter the ve­hi­cle he was op­er­at­ing on North Green­field Road failed to ne­go­ti­ate a curve in the road­way, struck an earthen em­bank­ment and be­came air­borne.

The ve­hi­cle driven by Robert D. Senecal, 51, of Mid­dle­line Road, who was the sole oc­cu­pant of the ve­hi­cle, and was pro­nounced de­ceased on the scene.

At 8:53 p.m. on Nov. 11, the Saratoga County Sher­iff’s Of­fice re­ceived a 911 call re­port­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle had crashed into a home in the Town of Green­field.

The ve­hi­cle trav­eled off the road­way, struck an earthen em­bank­ment and be­com­ing air­borne, then struck and en­tered a res­i­dence that was un­oc­cu­pied at the time of the crash.

The crash is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by the Sher­iff’s Of­fice Road Pa­trol, Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions Unit, and the Col­li­sion Re­con­struc­tion Unit.

The Sher­iff’s Of­fice was as­sisted on the scene by the Green­field Fire Depart­ment and Jes­sups Land­ing EMS.
