Class AA names Section II All-League teams and end of the year awards

TROY, NY » Billy Beach caps off an excellent senior season with a Section II Championsh­ip and a Class AA Player of the Year award after Class AA released their 2019 Section II

All-league teams and players of the year earlier in the week.

Beach is still fighting for a Class AA State Championsh­ip with Shenendeho­wa and his stats continue to rise because of that. Beach has tied Queensbury’s Jason Rodriguez for the Section II scoring lead with 192 points apiece. They have also tied for total touchdowns at 32. Beach has rushed for 1630 yards on 197 carries with 27 touchdowns on the ground. He has also caught 13 passes for 243 yards and five touchdowns through the air. Beach is second in Section II in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

nized by Class AA consisted of Quarterbac­k Brody Vincenzi, Kevin Fobare, and Collin Cook. Shen leads all Class AA teams with 15 nomination­s.

The offensive player of the year went to Schenectad­y’s Seven Terry, who trew fir 1663 yards on 113 completion­s this seasons, scoring 16 passing touchdowns. Terry added 357 yards on the ground with 13 touchdowns.

This year’s Class AA defensive player of the year went to two, with Shaker’s Nate Ratigan and Shen’s Pat McCane each earning the title “Co-Defensive Player of the Year.” The All-Purpose player of the year was awarded to Bethlehem senior Chris Ramundo.

Guilderlan­d’s Dan Penna was named Coach of the Year.

Christian Brothers Academy received recognitio­n in the All-League teams with a total of 10 nominees including running back Mike Barber and wide receiver Dylan Jones. Barber rushed for 690 yards this season on 140 carries. Barber finished his senior season with eight touchdowns. Through the air, Jones was a threat all season, racking up seven touchdowns on 29 catches and 512 total yards.

Nominees from the undefeated Shaker Blue Bison consist of Porter Ninstant, Austin Baird, and Roy Kippins. Ninstant led Shaker with 16 total touchdowns, 15 of which came on the ground. Ninstant finished with 1045 yards on 95 carries, and added another 45 yards on three catches.

After Shen, both CBA and Shaker were right behind with ten nomination­s each. Guilderlan­d finished with nine, and Schenectad­y had 6.
