Salem man faces charges after dispute
GREENWICH, N.Y. >> A Greenwich man was arrested when State Police responded to a residence in Salem for a domestic dispute.
Police in Greenwich arrested Devin P. Thibeau, 22, on Dec. 15 when police investigation at the scene determined that Thibeau attacked the victim, putting them in a choke hold and striking them in the face.
Thibeau also prevented the victim from calling 911, and caused property damage inside the home.
He was charged with two counts of criminal mischief fourth degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, both misdemeanors.
Thibeau had left the scene when Troopers arrived, but returned a short time later and was taken into custody. He was processed at State Police Greenwich and arraigned in Salem Town Court. He is due back at a later date.
