Sunday, Dec. 22 NUTCRACKER:
The Lewis A. Swyer School of the Arts at the National Museum of Dance will present its First Full Nutcracker production featuring 80 talented dancers ages 6- 18 years old, and special guests alumnus Sam Epstein, William Otto, Damon Honeycutt, and Leanne Sweet. Let the holiday magic begin as you join Clara and the Nutcracker Prince on their journey to a delightful winter wonderland. Performances will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 6:30pm and Sunday, December 22nd at 1 pm at Maple Avenue Middle School’s Trombley Auditorium. All ticket proceeds directly support the Lewis A. Sandy was a winner of the Susquehanna Folk Festival Liars Contest in 2019 and the St. Louis Jewish Storytelling Contest in 2015. TEN BROECK MANSION HOLIDAY HOUSE:
Sunday, December 22, 2019- Musicians of Ma’Alwyck2:00pm -3:30 pm. The Albany County Historical Association at the Ten Broeck Mansion, located at located at 9 Ten Broeck Place in Albany, will host the annual Holiday House activities beginning on Sunday, December 1 and continuing until Sunday, December 22, 2019. There are many planned events the public will enjoy including candle light tours, a holiday tea, two musical performances, an open house, a lecture, and a children’s story hour. Sinterklaas will visit many of the events throughout the month. The Ten Broeck Mansion is a 222 year old Federal Style home that was built for Abraham Ten Broeck and his wife Elizabeth Van Rensselaer and family. It is lovingly preserved by the Albany County Historical Association. During the holiday season volunteer decorators from around the Capital region transform the home into a holiday wonderland. The decorating theme this year is “American Treasures.” Handicapped accessibility is limited to the first floor. The Saratoga Hilton’s 25th Annual “Breakfast with Santa” is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 24 at The Saratoga Hilton; 534 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The Saratoga Hilton’s 25th annual “Breakfast with Santa” will take place on Christmas Eve at the hotel. The special anniversary event will feature a festive buffet breakfast, fantastic gift raffles and a fun visit from Santa himself.
