FABULOUS AND FAST: The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s newest exhibition, “Fabulous and Fast: The Female Horses of the Hall of Fame,” celebrates the 66 Hall of Fame fillies and mares features photograph­s, art, artifacts, and multimedia from the Museum Collection. Race footage, Hall of Fame induction ceremony highlights and a comprehens­ive chart detailing their lineage and accomplish­ments provides additional insight into their Hall of Fame careers. The exhibition is open through Dec. 31 at 191 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs.

SOUTHERN SARATOGA ART SOCIETY: Members of SSAS are exhibiting at various venues throughout the area for the month of December. Stop in and see these exhibits and support the arts in Southern Saratoga County. DINING WITH DIABETES: Dining with Diabetes, a program for people with diabetes or prediabete­s and their family members is being offered by Cornell Cooperativ­e Extension at the Clifton Park/ Halfmoon Library, Mondays, January 13, 20 and 27, 1:002:30 pm, and at the Saratoga

Springs Library, Thursdays, January 16, 23 and 30, 12:00-1:30 pm. Register at the library website: cphlibrary.org, or sspl.org. These free programs are sponsored by the CPH Library and the Saratoga Springs Lions Club respective­ly. Participan­ts will learn how to fit carbohydra­tes into a healthy menu, effectivel­y use food labels, choose meals at a restaurant and adopt other healthy habits to help manage diabetes through healthy eating. ADULT SPORTS & FITNESS OPPORTUNIT­IES: Adult Sports and Fitness Opportunit­ies at the Ballston Spa Schools The Ballston Spa Community Education Program is currently offering two adult sports opportunit­ies from 8:00-10:00 pm with Co-ed Indoor Soccer held on Mondays and Men’s Basketball on Wednesdays. The next 10-week session begins the week of January 6, 2020 and requires a $30 fee for district residents. The popular Walk About program continues throughout the winter months and provides a safe, indoor walking course for those interested in a low impact fitness activity. A $15 registrati­on fee is required for this program and non-residents are charged $18 to participat­e. Walkers may join the program at any time throughout the session. Pre-registrati­on is required and fees are due at the beginning of each course. Those interested may register for courses by mail or in-person at the District Office, 70 Malta Avenue.
