Town of Ballston resident Joe Seeman will hold a press conference to declare his intent to seek candidacy for a seat representing the NY Assembly’s 112th district.

If successful in the endorsements he is seeking, Seeman would be running against Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh in November’s election.

The event will take place at noon on Jan. 6 at the American Legion Hall, 23 Pleasant St., in Ballston Spa. The public is invited to attend.

Seeman has been a member of the Working Families Party (WFP) for ten years and is a State Committee member of that party. He is also seeking the endorsement of the Democratic Party, that has endorsed Elizabeth Warren in the Democratic

Primary in 2020.

Niskayuna resident, environmental advocate and past president of the Sierra Club, Aaron Mair, will introduce Seeman at the event.

“My main platform focus is to take the special interest money and corporate corruption out of politics. It is true in that case that money can be the root of all evil. It’s time for the voices of the 99% to be heard and represented by a candidate who refuses to take money from corporate PACs,” Seeman stated.
