Pair ar­rested in jail con­tra­band case

BALL­STON SPA, N.Y. >> A Still­wa­ter woman is ac­cused of con­ceal­ing Subox­one on her body and bring­ing it into the Saratoga County Cor­rec­tional Fa­cil­ity, where she passed it to an in­mate.

Dawn L. Hor­ton, 46, and Wil­liam A. Pe­abody, 51, of Ball­ston Spa were ar­rested fol­low­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into con­tra­band be­ing brought into the Saratoga County Jail.

The sub­stance was im­me­di­ately lo­cated and seized by Cor­rec­tional Of­fi­cers at the Jail. Both were charged with – pro­mot­ing prison con­tra­band first de­gree, a felony.

The de­fen­dants were ar­raigned by Judge Ti­mothy Brown of the Milton Town Court. Hor­ton was re­leased on her own re­cog­ni­zance and Pe­abody was re­turned to the jail where he was be­ing held on un­re­lated charges.

Both de­fen­dants will ap­pear in the Town of Milton Court on Jan­uary 22.
