Pair arrested in jail contraband case
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. >> A Stillwater woman is accused of concealing Suboxone on her body and bringing it into the Saratoga County Correctional Facility, where she passed it to an inmate.
Dawn L. Horton, 46, and William A. Peabody, 51, of Ballston Spa were arrested following an investigation into contraband being brought into the Saratoga County Jail.
The substance was immediately located and seized by Correctional Officers at the Jail. Both were charged with – promoting prison contraband first degree, a felony.
The defendants were arraigned by Judge Timothy Brown of the Milton Town Court. Horton was released on her own recognizance and Peabody was returned to the jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.
Both defendants will appear in the Town of Milton Court on January 22.
