VENT Fitness advises members amid coronavirus outbreak
CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. » Getting fit and staying in shape is a noble goal. Hitting the gym can be a big part to that end. Yet, with the specter of the coronavirus and people sharing sweaty gym equipment, how does one ensure staying fit and healthy?
VENT Fitness recently sent out an email to its members, addressing the measures it’s taking to ensure the health and wellness of its members and maintaining a healthy environment.
VENT Fitness, which has locations in Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Latham Guilderland and Niskayuna, outlined the steps it’s taking.
The email to members noted their gyms have multiple sanitizing stations placed on the workout floor in every studio. They also note they’re diligently monitoring the stations and ensuring sanitizing wipes are always available during all hours of operation.
As a preventative measure, they’re also increasing hand sanitizing stations in all clubs and swapping our soaps for a higher percentage antibacterial soap.
VENT is also asking its members to do their part in helping to practice health and hygiene measures listed below:
• Wash your hands before and after your workout
• Utilize our sanitizing stations and wipe down your equipment after use
• Bypass high-fives, handholding, or kissing in the gym
• Bypass coming to the gym if you are sick
VENT also reiterated that if you find yourself not feeling well, you should refrain from visiting the gym.
