Springs will still be doing their Fish Fry on every Friday throughout Lent, but on a take-out basis only. They are waiving the $1.00 take-out fee on all dinners. To place an order, call 518-584-8547 to place your order. Calls will be taken starting at 4:00 p.m. for pick-up to begin at 5:00 and to continue at 15-minute intervals until 8:00, depending on the number of calls received. No chowder will be available. There will be the usual Fried or Baked Haddock or Fried Clams for $12.00 or the 2 Shrimp Rolls Special for $10.00. Pickup will be from the main entrance in the front of the building, and dinners will be brought out to your vehicle. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call. The William Sanford Colonie Town Library is closed until further notice. The April meeting is still on the schedule as planned. Pennie Gonzalez, event manager wrote “It is with great sadness that we are canceling the 2020 Capital District Garden & Flower Show after receiving notificati­on that NYS has placed an indefinite ban on large gatherings. This was not an easy decision, nor one taken lightly. At this time of crisis, it is most important to keep our sponsors, vendors, supporters and visiting families safe.” The Capital District Garden & Flower Show will be back March 26-28, 2021 to continue the most anticipate­d springtime tradition in New York’s Capital Region. WOODWORKER­S SHOWCASE: CANCELED - The Northeast Woodworker­s Associatio­n has cancelled it’s annual Woodworker­s Showcase presentati­on which was to be held on March 28 & 29 at the Saratoga Springs City Center, as a result of the directive from the Governors office prohibitin­g gathering of more than 500 people at an event. The Totally Turning Symposium, a part of Showcase, has also been cancelled. The Woodworker­s Showcase will not be able to be reschedule­d for 2020, however, the show will be scheduled again for late March in 2021. For further informatio­n, go to www.woodworker.org. MALTA FLEA MARKET: After two successful outdoor seasons at the Malta Drivein, the Malta Flea Market will move indoors for the winter. Monthly shows are planned for January through April at the Malta Community Center at 1 Bayberry Dr. in Malta.Indoor flea markets will be held on the following Saturdays: January 25, February 22, March 28 and April 25. FAMILY SATURDAY: CANCELED - The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College has canceled its Spring 2020 Family Saturdays, a series of multigener­ational creative collaborat­ions on each Saturday from February 15 through April 4. The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College has been monitoring the fast-changing situation surroundin­g COVID-19. Out of concern for the health and safety of the community, the museum is closed to the public for the foreseeabl­e future. All events and programs are currently canceled.
