HAUNTED SARATOGA GHOST TOUR: Come walk with us and discover the ghosts of Haunted Saratoga. Hear the stories that have lived on in our city for hundreds of years. They will enchant, entertain and perhaps even scare you. Our 90-minute long walking tour will take you in search of the countless ghosts rumored to haunt the city. Total walking distance is less than a mile, covered at a very leisurely pace so that you can enjoy Saratoga’s many infamous ghosts and haunted locations. We are very respectful of the spirits we will encounter along the way. Youwill hear about and perhaps even meet Old Smoke who, it is said, haunts the old Canfield Casino, Angeline, known as the Witch of Saratoga, Hattie, who has been known to make appearances in her restaurant since her passing and several other spirits.To book a time slot, visit hauntedsaratogatours.com.
SARATOGA SPOOKTACULAR: Mazzone Hospitality will offer Saratoga and Capital Region families a safe and socially-distant alternative this Halloween with a drivethru trick-or-treat celebration to benefit Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). The Saratoga Spooktacular will take place from 4to 9p.m. on Friday, October 30and Saturday, October 31. The twoday, family-friendly event will invite families to don their Halloween costumes and travel the SPAC grounds by car while collecting individually-wrapped candy from numerous stations represented by local companies and organizations. Each station will feature festive Halloween décor and will deliver candy to trick-or-treaters in a socially-distanced manner. Reservations are required and will be available in 15-minute increments for $6per vehicle (plus applicable ticket fees). Each vehicle may contain up to six people. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at MazzoneHospitality.com. Reservations will be capped at approximately 500vehicles per evening. Proceeds from the Saratoga Spooktacular will benefit SPAC, which was forced to suspend programming this summer due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global health pandemic. A list of participating candy station sponsors and organizations will be announced shortly. All attendees will be required to wear facial coverings and maintain proper social distancing. Safety recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be strictly followed and enforced, as will New York State guidelines for events and gatherings. STILLWATER FALL FESTIVAL: Halloween during COVID doesn’t have to be scary! The Stillwater NY Fall Festival is hosting a Drive-Thru Trick or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31 from noon until 4. Dress up, grab your face masks and head over to School Street in Stillwater and then follow the signs. Local non-profits will greet your trick or treaters and distribute treats right to your car. No tired legs or cold toes this year and it’s all free!
PUMPKIN GLOW & LIGHT
SHOW: Ellms Family Farm is launching a new fall themed attraction. The Pumpkin Glow & Light Show Drive-Thru is an enchanting Halloween experience that features a pumpkin wonderland with thousands of hand carved illuminated jack o’lanterns. Guests are invited to be immersed in the magic fromthe safety and comfort of their own vehicle. The Drive-Thru experience boasts single pumpkin carvings to larger than life dazzling light displays. Ellms Family Farm has partnered with master carvers that are bringing all of the Halloween spirit to life. In addition to marveling at the masterpieces created by talented artists, guests will have the opportunity to be able to enjoy all the Ellms Farms fall snacks they know and love, by preselecting and prepaying for tasty fall themed treats, food & beverages, again to be enjoyed from your vehicle. This attraction is open from 7to 10p.m. Sunday through Thursday from Oct. 1to Nov. 8at Ellms Family Farm, located at 448Charlton Rd., Ballston Spa. FIELD OF HORRORS: Local haunted attraction Field of Horrors will open for its Sneak Peek Weekend from 6:30to 11p.m. on Sept. 25 and 26. It will then be open from 6:30to 11p.m. on Oct. 2, 3, 9, 10and 11as well as 6 to 11p.m. on Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30and 31. This year’s event will feature five different attractions, including the all-new Dr. Morbid’s Haunted House. HOLLOWED HARVEST: ‘The Hollowed Harvest’ will feature 7,000incredible Jack-O’Lanterns creating stunning landscapes and larger-thanlife displays, some towering as tall as 3stories, and spanning more than 60feet in length! The Hollowed Harvest is scheduled to open September 25th at 6p.m. at the Altamont Fairgrounds and will continue Thursday through Sunday of each week through the beginning of November with additional dates added the week of Halloween. Show dates and ticket information are available on the web at HollowedHarvest.com. From dinosaurs to zombies, sea creatures to medieval castles, all made out of Jack-O’-Lanterns, you won’t believe what you’re going to see at the Hollowed Harvest! To create a safe event, the Hollowed Harvest has limited time slots to reduce the number of guests admiring the show at one time and has coordinated with town police to enact a COVID safety plan in which guests must also wear face masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In a year of cancellations, you can count on the Hollowed Harvest to save Halloween.
