CHRIS ANDREADAKIS
Rotterdam, NY - Chris T. Andreadakis passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021) at home after a short illness. Born on August 18, 1923 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas and Pauline Dionesu Andreadakis. He married Angeline Andreadakis and they shared 65 years together, until her death in 2011. A United States Army veteran, Chris served in WWII at Normandy and in the Battle of the Bulge. He received his honorable discharge in 1945. Chris was a Saratoga Springs police officer for over 10 years and a police officer at the Saratoga Race Track for over a decade as well. He retired as highway supervisor in Saratoga Springs, serving for over 30 years. He was a member of the Saratoga ITAM and the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge 161.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers Dan, Leo, and George Andreadakis, and sister Mary Kouremetis. Survivors include his sister Lee Carantza of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Paula DeGasperis of Schenectady and Michele (Phillip) Natale of Saratoga Springs; granddaughters Denise DeGasperis and Debra (William) Saburro, and Dr. Kristen (James) Natale of Bethesda, MD; his great-grandchildren Joseph Sotter and Danielle Carrigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm on Monday (February 15) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). Burial with military honors will be at 1pm Tuesday (February 16) at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
