LOUDONVILLE, NY » Following the postponement of its Fall 2020 competition schedule, Siena Men’s Golf is set to take the course for a full slate of action in 2021. The Saints will take part in events this coming spring, including five regional tournaments and the 2021 MAAC Championships.

“We look forward to returning to the golf course after a year without playing any collegiate golf tournaments,” Head Coach Steven Jensen said. “We appreciate all the hard work that Siena College has done to make it possible for the student athletes to compete this spring. Everyone is ready to get going, and it should be an exciting spring for Men’s Golf.”

The Green and Gold will begin its 75th year of varsity competition on March 6, when it takes part in the MAAC Spring Kickoff March 6 & 7, hosted by Iona at the Shoregate Golf Club in Ocean View, New Jersey. Siena will return to the Garden State the following weekend to compete at the Saint Peter’s Invite on March 15 at the Fox Hollow Golf Club in Branchburg, NJ.

The Saints will kick off the month of April at the UConn Col

legiate Invitational at the Ellington Ridge Golf Club in Ellington, Connecticut April 1-3. The team will return to Connecticut for the SHU Spring Invite at Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT April 11-12.

Siena will wrap regular season competition at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette in Hellertown, Pennsylvania April 18-19. The team will then head to the 39th edition of the MAAC Championships at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

The team is expected to return each of its starting five from last year and eight returners overall, while adding a pair of newcomers. Siena logged two top-5 team finishes in six competitions during the 2019-20 campaign before the season was cut short due to COVID-19.
