Largest NAPA store in the U.S. opens in region
MILTON, N.Y. >> The new NAPA Auto Parts — Saratoga Auto Supply located at 352 Rowland St. in the town of Milton is the largest store in that chain’s history.
Owners Jeffery and Veronica Shorr cut the ceremonial ribbon of the Saratoga County Chamber recently along with their staff and dignitaries including Milton Town Supervisor Scott Ostrander, Deputy Supervisor Barbara Kerr, Councilman John Frolish, Director of Economic Planning John Olenik, Rayan Aguam representing state Sen. Jim Tedisco and Stacie Agostino representing Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh.
Saratoga Chamber President Todd Shimkus emceed the event, assisted by Andrea Cole and Rich Snyder. Also present were Joanne Kirkpatrick and Victoria Niles from the Saratoga Economic Development Corp, and Pete Bardunias, Senior Vice President, Membership and Community Advancement, Capital Region Chamber.
David S. DeMarco, Jenifer Marten and the team from the Saratoga National Bank & Trust Company, which financed the building, were on hand as was John Munter and associates from Munter Enterprises, Inc. who constructed it, and Paone Architecture, designer of the facility.
This store is the first of its kind to test out design concepts NAPA hopes to launch in select markets across the U. S. It features an 8,000 square-foot showroom, a pair of interactive two- car garages displays, a machine shop, a Milwaukee Tool Zone, The Chemical Guys Vehicle Detailing Center, and it offers free EV Charging Stations on-site.
It also provides in-house Valspar Automotive Paint Mixing, and it houses a dedicated NAPA Direct Call Center to support its more than 600 wholesale customers in Saratoga County. NAPA has also collaborated with the Saratoga Auto Museum and other car enthusiasts to proudly launch NAPA’s “Best Show on the Road” to display a rotating cast of classic and antique cars from local collectors on their showroom floor.
For the Grand Opening, a 1964 Pontiac GTO was featured on a 4-post lift in the corner of the showroom.
NASCAR driver Chase Elliott arrived to a crowd of hundreds of fans, including Clifton Park Town Supervisor Phil Barrett and other representatives from the county. Elliott’s appearance capped off a great celebration and introduction of the latest new addition to the local business community. The town of Milton has ribbon cuttings scheduled in the next two weeks for the new Gateway House Thrift Shop and the new “Milton Mile” walking trail at Burgess Kimball Memorial Park.
