Poise, tal­ent and per­sonal plat­forms were in the July spot­light at Sum­mit Arena when 45 young women from across the state com­peted in the 76th An­nual Miss Arkansas Schol­ar­ship Pageant. Af­ter three evening pre­lim­i­nar­ies, lo­cal and area res­i­dents had plenty to cheer about as Miss Di­a­mond Lakes, Amy Crain of Hot Springs, was named 2013 Miss Arkansas. She will rep­re­sent her home state at the Miss Amer­ica Pageant in Septem­ber.
