Make a statement with a colorful door
I’ve read your articles and really like the way you give advice and most importantly answers to our questions. I’m like many when it comes to design because I have such a difficult time trying to visualize what it will look like. I pretty much stay safe, but I’m ready to make my mark in the neighborhood.
I’m sending you a picture of my entry door and am asking for you to show me one or maybe two paint options to dress my door. My neighbors are watching.
Karen Dear Karen,
It is good to hear that you read my articles and take away ideas and information that is useful. I receive a lot of feedback from the readers of GO! and appreciate their comments.
Well, looking at the picture of your front door, I would say that you have been playing it safe so maybe it is time to take the plunge and make some noise.
I have the technology that makes it possible to show your door in a vast selection of paint colors. We can start with your existing color and then explore some unexpected shades you may not have considered. This technology can also be applied to your interior so if you like I can show you what paint selections would be best for your rooms, too.
I played with quite a few colors but narrowed it down to two that will stand the test of time and make your first impressions lasting and favorable ones.
I wanted the door to really POP so on both of these options I trimmed out the door jamb in Sherwin Williams Black Bean #6006. Sometimes breaking the rules is a good thing!
Option #1. This is Sherwin Williams Poinsettia and I think it is perfect year round. This color is known for its inviting personality and will be a show stopper.
Option #2. I really like this fresh and vibrant Sherwin Williams color Ionian #6754. It is peaceful and relaxing but certainly not shy. This door color would be a standout in any neighborhood.
Now that you have seen exactly what your entry can look like it is time to make the big decision and move forward. Will it be option #1 or option #2? I can’t wait to hear back from you. I think this calls for a celebration so I want to share one of my favorite summertime drinks. This can be family friendly or a really delightful adult drink. Serve it to your neighbors and listen to the compliments on your door and your drink.
