Hot Springs On The GO!

There's never a shortage of things to do and people to see during the holidays. Once the holiday lights are turned on in downtown Hot Springs, the season officially begins and won't stop until well after the new year.

This month, we've got your go-to guide for holiday parties and entertaining, not only to get you ready for what's happening around town, but also to prepare for your next big event.

We're showcasing a holiday favorite, Ice on Ice, an event where the “signature drink” could land you a half-carat diamond from Lauray's the Diamond Center. Ice cubes in each drink will have a half-carat cubic zirconium or one of four half-carat diamonds, and with only 400 tickets available, this is an exclusive, don't-miss event of the season that will benefit Project Hope Food Bank this year.

Known for its gingerbread house each year, the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa is the spot for holiday festivities and décor. With so much history in one location, there are few better places to experience Hot Springs' many holiday traditions.

If you're the type who likes to stay in and host others during the holidays, Michelle Mouton Harrison of MHarrison Designs has compiled her guide to planning the perfect, stress-free party. She's designed a classic, “Nordic Holiday” theme that can be easily dressed up or down, and will surely please all who walk through the door.

Whether you enjoy walking downtown on chilly evenings, arm in arm with your love in the glow of the twinkling lights or staying in by the fire, cozied up with family or friends, the holiday season is more than just beautiful decorations and wonderful food — it's about togetherness and gratitude. As we head into the holidays, I wish you all the best the season has to offer.

Cheers,
