Amie Jo Bishop-Smith is a rock star through and through as an RN by day and lead singer for a Led Zeppelin tribute band by night.

As a newlywed to Tracy Smith, an APN for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Amie Jo enjoys music and cooking, and spending time with the couple’s four children, Rachel, Emma, Lily and Jonah. Her style, she said, is “comfort fitting clothes that flatter and flow” but are still fun and trendy.

“I love the atmosphere of The Funky Monkey Clothier,” Amie Jo said. “The girls are always so friendly and helpful. The owner, Bridgett Harnden, splashed in her talent of being a mother and having to look fabulous as well as comfortable while having little ones.

“She and Lise’ Huckaby love to suggest items that may be out of my comfort zone, but once I try them on I fall in love.”

Makeup and hair design were provided by Inge Rogers and Sarah Cooper of Plenty Mystic’s Hair and Makeup Em-

porium using all natural products.

“We wanted to give Amie Jo those ‘Audrey Hepburn’ eyes, with a nice, thin liner,” Inge said. “We used products from Bésame, which have been made by the same family since the 1920s and 30s with no chemicals. We topped it off with a good, red lip that really pops and nice, beachy curls.”

For Amie Jo, less is more, and this outfit demonstrates that.

“This is my type of outfit — pure comfort pumped up a notch,” she said. “The fabrics are so soft and light. A simple, solid top, and a light and airy, one-color pant with a pop of color in the jewelry and shoes made the outfit picture perfect in my eyes!”

The Funky Monkey carries the latest trends in clothing, shoes and accessories, and Bridgett and Lise’ make it their priority to cater to each individual’s clothing needs.

“There’s something for everyone here,” Bridgett said. “Whether you are shopping for career attire or for that perfect outfit for a fun night out on the town, we’ve got you covered!”
